Mellotron Archives

» Mellotron Archives is the official site.
David Kean, owner of the name Mellotron, created Mellotron Archives in 1990, in order to help Mellotron lovers (restoration of all models, spare parts, tapes...). Mellotron Archives is based in Canada and Sweden.

David Kean and his associate Markus Resch have invented new Mellotrons : Mark VI and Mark VII. They also released new improved tape frames which also fit in the M400 and the Mark V.

Streetly Electronics

» The site owned by Martin Smith and John Bradley - the son of Leslie Bradley, the man who invented the Mellotron.

Martin and John can entirely repair all Mellotron models ; they have all the spare parts, as well as new tapes and new improved tape frames. Streetly Electronics is based in England, near Birmingham.

Rick owns a splendid FX Console.
With his wife and some friends - The Mellotron Recording Society of Toronto - , he recorded new instruments sounds for the Mellotron (piccolo, recorder) at Streetly Electronics' request. The group also taped better recordings of other instruments which were already included in the Mellotron's sound library (oboe / cor anglais, clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano sax and French horn).
